We did not succeed to find acceptable polarization settings. In all cases carried out, the gain is relatively low and the legs are unbalanced. Moreover, in some cases a resonance, intended as a sharp and strong increase of the gain, appeared at about 47.5 GHz, therefore close to upper edge of the nominal bandwidth, together with high levels of noise. However, no problem of interactions among the HEMTs and the Keithley points were always respected.

The case here presented refers to the so called case “V5”, used for this RF and next Y-Factor tests. In practice, there is no balance and the gain is low.
